In 2006 Monk Estates sold its medical centre business Primary Asset Managementto Med-Ex. At the time the business owned and operated 13 medical centres across the UK. The business was built from the ground up via a complex procurement method of sales and leasebacks, which enabled local practices to unlock the capital required to deliver state of the art surgeries without the need for vast initial capital outlays. Some examples within the centre include; The Hedges Medical Centre in Leicester, Churchside Medical Practice in Mansfield, Riverside Health Centre in Retford and Darlston Medical Centre in Walsall.
